“We’re extremely happy with the piano lessons we’ve had with Joe. He has taken Marlo well outside the traditional structure of songbook and theory book, teaching him as well the foundations for creating his own songs, and for improvising alone and with others. Marlo has been introduced to jazz and blues scales and music, and allowed to select popular songs he would like to learn. Joe reinforces the importance of proper technique and theory for long-term success, but keeps the joy of playing intact. Marlo loves his lessons and amazes us with what he achieves. It’s great.”

-Renee, Mother of Marlo, Age 7. Student of 2 years.

I was trying to teach myself to play piano and not getting too far. Everything changed when I started taking lessons with Joseph. He was able to choose the exact piano scores that helped me develop and customized a blend of theory, technique and practice exercises for my interests and goals. Joseph’s ease playing across musical styles and his beautiful command of the instrument also inspired me to keep practicing. Whether you’re a beginner or have been playing for many years, Joseph has the uncanny ability to show you your edge and give you the tools to go beyond.”

I took guitar lessons from Elliot for 8 years and it was a true pleasure. The way he catered the lessons to my tastes in music was awesome and his infectious passion for guitar certainly rubbed off on me. I thoroughly enjoyed his classes, you end up learning a lot and his methods are very relaxed and patient. Elliot gave me the knowledge and skills I need to pursue guitar on my own, you’re missing out if you don’t take lessons from him!” – Julian (student age 10-18)

I’ve been taking guitar lessons from Elliot for a year now. Elliot is great. No matter what you’re wanting to learn, he’s able to adapt the lessons to tailor your needs. It’s great working with Elliot because he makes every lesson fun, he is flexible with dates and times, and he is always so enthusiastic. I don’t think he ever has a bad day.” – Melanie
